A year after the launch of Eddy, a seven-inch tablet for children,
Metis Learning Solutions has now launched two new tablets in the Indian
market.
In partnership with Cartoon Network Enterprises, the
company has announced the launch of two new tablets - Creativity tablet
and Ben 10.
Targeted at
kids in the three and above age group, both these tablets are powered by
Intel Atom Processor Z2520 and run on Android 4.2.2, which is a
slightly older version of the operating system.
The tablets don't
offer plain vanilla interface and come loaded with Eddy's proprietary
Athena OS that the company claims has been designed keeping in mind a
child's learning needs. Both the tablets come preloaded with hundreds of
books, learning games and content from Cartoon Network and POGO.
The
Creativity Tablet has been priced at Rs 8,999. At Rs 9,999, Ben 10
offers a reading zone with 1,000 books, learning zone with select
educational apps, over 1000 minutes of Ben 10 episodes and a fun zone
featuring 20 games.
These tablets will be available at Amazon.com or through Eddy's website.
Bharat
Gulia, Co-founder of Eddy, says: "We build technology for young
superstars. In every child, there could be a reading superstar, a
creativity superstar, a tech superstar, a math superstar or some other
inherent talent. Our tablets provide excellent and fun content to bring
out and nurture the superstar that lies in every child."
